It’s hard work, but someone has to do it. Last week, we got to spend the whole day drooling over what’s new for interiors, at the Decorex design show. Like a kid in a sweetshop, we wanted it all! But here are a few of our favourite things. From the super small to the mind-bogglingly big…
How adorable is this tiny china dog? And so well behaved, too. He can come and perch on our shelf anytime.
Now that’s what we call a chandelier. Giant, gold, super shimmery. We’d happily sacrifice every stick of dining room furniture to squeeze in this beauty.
There’s something fishy going on here. And we like it! Just imagine waking from a dreamy slumber in this amazing shell-like, mermaid bed.
Super-high-backed chairs have been making a quiet comeback for a while now. We love the eye-popping colour and minimal ‘50s styling of this one. Perfect hiding out with a good book.
All you need is love. And a few champagne flutes.
Have a wonderful summer of love!
And happy wedding bells to my friend Laura xx
Wedding treats with a difference
Ooooh I know it is nothing to do with homeware but I love it!
Wedding gifts with ding dong. Check out our website at HomeSense.com
There are hundreds of wedding presents with a difference at HomeSense.
We don’t want you to give the gift everyone else is giving.
I’m a fan of simplicity for an invite.
So with all these weddings this summer, what is the etiquette on buying a pressie?
There’s something not quite right about giving cash, however they don’t want to end up with five magimixes.
So what should you give to thrill the bride and groom?
I recently got engaged and lots of my friends are getting married this year.
There must be something in the air!
o our brand new, shiny, fabulous website. Hope you can take some time to have a good look around. Make yourself at home

So, are you liking your beautiful new Liberty for Comic Relief shopper? Haven’t bought one yet? Well, more fundraising antics from our ever-creative stores should give you that extra motivation to head to your local HomeSense and buy a bag before they all sell out!
This week HomeSense Cardiff has been doing something funny for money, including hamper raffles and fancy dress. The momentum is building and now we’re making our way from Wales to the Midlands….
Look at what our stores are up to:
If you happen to be at our Swansea store today, look out for stilt walkers and fancy dressed associates. The store will also be hosting a colouring competition for kids.
Head down to HomeSense this Sunday to see our Store Manager Chris take up residence in a bath of beans. Pay a small donation, take aim and fire! And while you’re there you can cheer on our associates taking part in a sponsored exercise bike ride.
As part of our chain-wide Wacky Races challenge, some very charitable delivery men will be transporting our well-travelled Liberty bag from Gloucester to Worcester on Tuesday, where staff will be participating in a sponsored pyjama day.
Next week will take us further into the Midlands so keep checking back to see more wacky updates
The London Chat Show is back at the Canal Cafe Theatre in West London on Wednesday 23rd February, 7.30pm, and we’ve got another pair of tickets to give away to a lucky winner! The show, featuring an array of celebrity interviews and performances, takes place in a living room set supplied and styled entirely by HomeSense! It allows an audience to experience the side of the interview they don’t usually get to see. Famous faces will be sharing their tales with entertainment journalist Amira Hashish in front of an intimate crowd and some may even be happy to answer burning questions from audience members.
February’s show theme is Fashion and Beauty. Interviewees already confirmed include leading British fashion designer Paul Costelloe, whose show is opening London Fashion Week for the second year running, and renowned celebrity hairdresser Trevor Sorbie MBE.
New York Blues and soul singing sensation Nell Bryden will be February’s music act. And Gap Yah stars The Unexpected Items will be the comedy guests.
We’re giving away a pair of tickets to this performance at the Canal Cafe Theatre on Wednesday 23rd February, 7.30pm. For your chance to win, click here:

HomeSense has partnered with Action for Children, one of the UK’s largest children’s charities, to raise money for local projects which support vulnerable, neglected and disadvantaged children.
Each of our stores will be supporting and raising funds for local ranging from supporting young carers, providing equipment for disabled children, buying toys for local centres and developing services for disadvantaged families.
From Thursday 4th November, you can make your donation at the till in any HomeSense store, write your name on a bauble and then hang it on our tree.
So as well as saving up to 60% on our unique decorations and great gifts this Christmas, you’ll also be able to help us support vulnerable and disadvantaged children locally this Christmas.
